Have you enrolled into a prince2 training course? Brilliant!

Are you unsure how to get the most out of it in order to pass the exam? Don’t worry, I will help you!

Prince2 is based on 7 core principles which are unique to its project based methodology. These principles include; continuous business justification, management by exception, defined roles and responsibilities, focus on products, tailored methods to suit project environments and finally; learning from experiences.
Whether you have enrolled yourself in the prince2 foundation or the practitioner training course; there are a few points you need to keep in mind in order to get the very best from your training course.

The first thing to remember; is to know where your training class is and what time. Training courses run on certain days at certain times, these vary depending on the training provider you have chosen to go with. Therefore it is important to know when and where your class begins. Moreover, it is also important to find out what day the course will conclude on in order for you to work out how much you need to learn each day.

It is also important to read all of the pre course reading and notes before attending the training course. This will prepare you for what you need to expect and will allow you to have a bit of background knowledge in the area. Remember to read the information carefully and take notes where needed as those individuals who skim read the material usually miss out on the most important parts and do not pass with such a high mark. Moreover, if you spend some time acquainting yourself with the concepts and principles of prince2 you will give yourself a head start over the others in your class.

It is important to note that the prince2 training course is not for those individuals who are experienced in project management and therefore it is not required or appreciated if you act like a know it all with a great deal of experience. It will intimidate others in the class and could limit your learning. Also, don’t interrupt the class the entire time; it is important to give your teacher or trainer a chance to explain their point to you and the other delegates in the class.

Another thing to remember; is to be respectful to your fellow classmates. An example of being respectful is to ensure you do not receive phone calls in the middle of class as this will disrupt other peoples learning.
So, there you go! I hope the tips will help you benefit from your prince2 training course and learn everything there is to know about project management.

So, stop panicking and relax; the course will be fun!

Good luck!
